Ginger Ale and Saltines

Sprite, Ginger Ale, Coke and Saltines have basically been my diet for the last few days. I have been super sick, which is why I have been neglecting all of you wonderful blogging friends. I'm still feeling pretty yucky, but I have to go back to work tomorrow so I guess I'll get over it. Although I'm feeling sick I thought it would be a good opportunity to think of some of the miracles in my life. My new job is something that I'm grateful for. It seems it isn't going to turn out to be what I expected, but in times like this I'm thankful to have a position that will be reliable. One of the most exciting moments of the week happened yesterday. Devin's computer battery has been dead forever. The instant it is unplugged it shuts off. As many of you may know Macs are insanely expensive. For a new battery it was going to cost between $130-150. For us that is pretty pricey. Yesterday we went into the apple store to go buy the battery, they let us know that they could do a diagnostic on the battery and if it really wasn't working they'd give us the new battery for $100. Least to say we were stoked. The lady working on the computer went in the back room to check on something she came out an said it was our lucky day. The computers at the apple store weren't working (ironic) and we were in a hurry so we got the battery for free. Devin and I couldn't believe it. There are miracles everyday. We just need to look for them.

  4. Just found your blog. So cute. Reading this post I have the same problem with my Macbook (new back in 2007). The battery is bulging out the bottom a bit and the second it unplugs the computer dies.

Just wondering how old your husbands mac is. Thanks and keep up the cute blog!

    1. I didn't notice the bulging on his but the battery was definitely shot. Once he replaced it, it has worked like a charm. I believe that his is a 2009. Good luck with your computer!!
