Our First Fourth

The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. Growing up we always spent this holiday on Park Avenue in Park City, there was a less than exceptional parade, that we still loved, barbeque, family and fireworks. What could be better? I found out this year...
This was the first fourth I got to spend with my sweet hubby. We woke up at 8:30 and had a yummy french toast breakfast and then I headed off to work. Fortunately, work was slow and I only had to be there for an hour. I zipped back home to my love to surprise him. Since I was supposed to be working we didn't have plans until later that evening so we spent a nice relaxing afternoon together.
Finding a good place to sit for the fireworks can be a difficult task so Devin and I ran over to Rock Canyon Park to save a spot. Then we had a super tasty BBQ with our friends Dan & Casey. The we hiked back up to our spot on the hill and waited for the fireworks, oh yeah and did I mention we waited...We were sitting up there for three hours before they started, we passed the time eating WAY too much candy and playing Phase 10 Dice (have you ever heard of this? I've played the regular version but this was new to me!) Finally, the fireworks started and we shared our first firework filled sky kiss.

In the middle of closing his eyes...Oooops.

Our cute friends.

We were standing on a hill and I wanted to be taller than him :)

We happened to run in to Devin's Aunt and Uncle and they shared their yummy cup cakes with us!

Thanks for stopping by! xoxo Kinzie

P.S. I want to do a button swap so if you made it this far in the post and you would be interested leave a comment and I'll get back to you ASAP :)
